Koray Kavukcuoglu
Koray Kavukcuoglu is a senior leader at Google DeepMind; in August 2026 he took over running the organisation after co-founder Demis Hassabis moved to a chair role, having previously served as its chief technology officer and, from 2025, as Google's first chief AI architect. Turkish-born and trained under Yann LeCun at NYU, he joined DeepMind as a researcher in 2012 and oversaw development of the Gemini model family.
