CoreWeave
One of the largest "neocloud" providers, renting out Nvidia GPU capacity to AI labs and other firms that need large amounts of compute but do not want to build their own data centres.
CoreWeave is a cloud company that rents out Nvidia GPU capacity to AI labs and other firms that need large amounts of computing power but do not want to build their own data centres. It began in 2017 as a cryptocurrency-mining operation before pivoting to AI, and has grown into one of the largest of the so-called "neocloud" providers, closely tied to Nvidia, which is both an investor and its main hardware supplier. In March 2025 it completed the largest US technology IPO since 2021, though the stock closed flat on debut in what some read as caution about a business dependent on debt-financed chip purchases and a handful of big customers. Since then it has signed multi-billion-dollar capacity deals with the likes of OpenAI, Meta and Anthropic, and taken a further $2 billion investment from Nvidia.
