Yichao Ji
Yichao "Peak" Ji is a co-founder and chief scientist of Manus, the AI agent product built by the startup Butterfly Effect. Before Manus he founded Peak Labs in 2012 and built the Mammoth Browser for iOS as a teenager, and he was named to Forbes China's 30 Under 35 lists; reporting credits him as the technical lead behind Manus, which went viral on its March 2025 launch. Meta's late-2025 acquisition of Butterfly Effect for a reported sum above $2 billion was blocked and unwound by Chinese regulators the following year.
