Rather than the graphics-derived design that Nvidia popularised, it uses an architecture it calls a Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit, which it says moves data through the chip like a pipeline to cut unnecessary transfers and lower power use, and it has focused increasingly on inference. In July 2026 it raised $1bn in a round reported to value it at about $11bn, part of a wave of investment in companies pitched as alternatives to Nvidia.
