Michael Truell
Michael Truell is the co-founder and chief executive of Cursor, the AI coding tool built by Anysphere, which he incorporated in 2022 with fellow MIT students Sualeh Asif, Arvid Lunnemark and Aman Sanger. Under his lead Cursor became one of the fastest-growing software products by revenue, and in June 2026 SpaceX agreed to acquire Anysphere for a reported $60 billion — cast as the largest startup acquisition on record — folding it into the combined SpaceX–xAI group.
