Crusoe is a US company, founded in 2018 by Chase Lochmiller and Cully Cavness, that builds and operates AI data centres with an "energy-first" approach — siting compute where power is cheap and, in its early years, running on gas that would otherwise be flared. It has since repositioned as a vertically integrated AI-infrastructure provider, developing large campuses and a GPU cloud built on Nvidia and AMD hardware. Crusoe closed a $1.375bn round in October 2025 at a reported valuation above $10bn to fund gigawatt-scale data-centre construction.
