Zhang Yiming
Zhang Yiming is the co-founder of ByteDance, the company behind Toutiao, Douyin and TikTok, which he started in 2012. He stepped down as chairman and chief executive in 2021 but, according to reporting, has re-engaged since 2024 to steer the company's AI strategy toward artificial general intelligence; ByteDance's AI-driven valuation has made him one of China's wealthiest people.
