Robin Rombach

Robin Rombach is a co-founder and chief executive of Black Forest Labs, a German generative-media lab that develops the FLUX family of open-weight image models. He was a core author of the original Stable Diffusion research during his PhD at LMU Munich and later a research director at Stability AI, before co-founding Black Forest Labs in 2024 with Andreas Blattmann and Patrick Esser.
