Poolside is a US company founded in 2023 by Jason Warner, a former chief technology officer of GitHub, and the software entrepreneur Eiso Kant, to build foundation models specialised for software engineering. It trains on large code datasets with reinforcement learning from code execution and offers air-gapped, on-premises deployment aimed at regulated industries such as banking and defence. In October 2025 Nvidia said it would invest up to $1bn in the company, lifting its reported valuation to about $12bn, up from $3bn a year earlier.
