Nate Soares

Nate Soares is the president of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, a US non-profit focused on the risks of advanced AI, having previously served as its executive director. A former software engineer at Microsoft and Google, he joined MIRI in 2014 and is the primary author of much of its technical research agenda on AI alignment.
