Leading the Future is a US pro-AI super PAC network launched in August 2025 to back candidates it sees as favourable to AI development and to oppose those pushing for tighter restrictions. Reporting by the Wall Street Journal and others said it was seeded with more than $100m from industry figures including the venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI president Greg Brockman and Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, with the effort explicitly modelled on the crypto super PAC Fairshake. The group has since targeted state-level AI-safety legislators, drawing criticism that industry money is being used to shape AI regulation.
