Daniel Murfet
Daniel Murfet is a mathematician who directs research at Timaeus, an AI safety organisation applying singular learning theory to the study of neural networks. Formerly a mathematician at the University of Melbourne working in algebraic geometry and mathematical logic, he originated the "developmental interpretability" research agenda, which studies phase transitions during model training, and left academia to lead Timaeus's technical work.
