Bernt Børnich is the founder and chief executive of 1X, a Norwegian-American company developing general-purpose humanoid robots such as the home-focused NEO. A roboticist, he founded the company in 2014 as Halodi Robotics; its backers include the OpenAI Startup Fund, EQT Ventures and Samsung NEXT.
