Andrew Chi-Chih Yao
Andrew Chi-Chih Yao is a computer scientist at Tsinghua University, where he founded the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences and, in 2024, was appointed dean of its School of Artificial Intelligence. He won the 2000 Turing Award for foundational work in computational complexity, pseudorandomness and cryptography, and previously held chairs at Princeton, Stanford, Berkeley and MIT before moving to Tsinghua in 2004.
