Andreas Blattmann
Andreas Blattmann is a German generative-AI researcher and a co-founder of Black Forest Labs, the Freiburg-based startup behind the FLUX image-generation models. He was one of the principal researchers on latent diffusion, the technique underpinning Stable Diffusion, work he carried out at LMU Munich before spells at Stability AI and, with co-founders Robin Rombach, Patrick Esser and Dominik Lorenz, founding Black Forest Labs in 2024.
