Ali Ghodsi is a co-founder and chief executive of Databricks, the data and AI platform company, a role he has held since 2016. He was one of the UC Berkeley researchers behind the open-source Apache Spark analytics engine, from which Databricks grew, and remains an adjunct professor at Berkeley.
